R&D Analytical Manager
Our client, a global pharmaceutical organisation are currently recruiting for an R&D Analytical Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The R&D Analytical Manager will be responsible for the delivery of the assigned analytical activities to support the timely registration or launch of new products. The ideal candidate will have previous people management experience also.

Responsibilities
• Responsible for the delivery of the assigned analytical activities to support the timely registration or launch of new products
• Ensure analytical activities are performed in compliance within the regulatory and quality criteria required by external health agencies
• Ensure excellent lines of communication within the team and with other departments
• Work across areas such as validation whilst supporting registration stability, assignment of specifications and shelf life
• Provide analytical documentation for registration and supporting transfer of methods to Quality Control (QC) for products assigned from the Injectable strategic plan
• Ensure formulation activities or new products are supported as required
• Grow and develop the assigned R&D team, supervise direct reports, mentor each of them, and look after their personal training and goals and objectives setting excellence.

Requirements
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a science related discipline (Preferably Chemistry, Biochemistry or Biotechnology) with 10+ years of applicable experience in the pharmaceutical industry
• Previous experience of analytical project lead including training and supervising the activities of analytical personnel
• Must possess knowledge of quality procedures within a highly regulated pharmaceutical laboratory
• A strong knowledge of modern analytical techniques is required
• Demonstrated leadership of analytical personnel
• Experience of working with biologics, specifically therapeutic peptides
• Experience of biological techniques and method development
• Experience of working in the injectables industry or API manufacturing
• LC-MS or MS experience
